Taking Tea With The Queen

One of the proudest moments of my life was being invited to the Queen's Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on 15th July, 2003, in recognition of my charity work and efforts on behalf of the West Midlands community where I was born and bred and still live.

I can never understand how anyone who is given an honour could possibly refuse such recognition. When one considers the men and women of this great country who have served it and willingly given their lives in the past for King, Queen and country, I consider it an unpardonable insult to the Royal Family, of whom I shall always be a great admirer and supporter.

You can see me below, with my lovely wife Kath, just about to go through the gates of Buckingham Palace, and a second picture which shows me enjoying that very special cup of tea. Wonderful!
