Just Like Billy Fury
Many of my fans think I sing very much like the two late great rock'n'roll singers, Billy Fury and Elvis Presley. Some even say when I do a few George Formby numbers on my uke, I sound like him too. It is a great compliment to say you sound like these three great performers, even though they were all very diverse. Well, you could never imagine George doing rock'n'roll could you? But to be honest, I think I just sound like me.
My friend, and the medium who often supports me in my demonstrations, John Routley, insists there is more to it than that, and Billy and Elvis particularly, seem to actually come through and influence me on stage. I suppose it is one of my specialities though, and I believe as one of the top mediums, I am the only one who also sings a bit of rock'n'roll during my demonstrations. Many people have come up and said they have seen Billy or Elvis on stage with me, and even members of the artists' own families have been known to say there are similarities in our voices. Maybe these guys do inspire me a little. As we Spiritualist mediums say, if that's the case, they are more than welcome!
